In today’s fast-paced media landscape, timing is everything, especially for authors seeking meaningful media coverage. In this power-packed presentation, Marika Flatt, founder of PR by the Book, breaks down how to master timing, develop compelling story angles, and boost your outreach with clear, persuasive pitches that resonate with journalists and podcasters. You’ll learn what media gatekeepers look for, how to align your story with news cycles and seasonal trends, and how to position yourself as a go-to expert through effective follow-up and relationship-building. With real-world examples and proven techniques, this presentation will equip you with the tools to craft pitches that capture attention, elevate your visibility, and strengthen your author brand across media platforms.
