Join WNBA Mid-Atlantic for this curator-led rare books tour at the magnificent George Peabody Library of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. The library, which opened in 1878, is remarkable not only for its holdings but also for its breathtaking architecture. Designed by Edmund G. Lind, the Peabody is widely considered one of the world's most beautiful libraries. Highlights will include:
The Book of Hours, first editions of Copernicus and Galileo, early editions of Don Quixote, children's books, and more, from the Renaissance to the 19th century.

Parking: Limited metered street parking can be found in the surrounding Mt. Vernon neighborhood. Closest garages are about 2/10 mile walking distance: Baltimore Sun Garage (enter from E. He was awarded the 2023 Jim Duggins, Ph.D. Outstanding Mid-Career Novelist Prize, and he has taught creative writing at Columbia University, the George Washington University, and the Stonecoast MFA program.
